Museo delle Armi e delle Uniformi Militari

the Museum of Weapons and Military Uniforms is located in the ex-church of S. Biagio, locally known as “il Sacrario”. It was rebuilt by the Jesuits in 1771 on the site of a previous church which existed as far back as 1195. In the XIX century the building was requisitioned several times by the Municipality and used as a quarantine station during the various cholera epidemics. Later it became the property of the Giustiniani Bandini family who subsequently donated it to the Municipality. A war memorial was set up and opened on 28th September 1947 by the local section of the Combattenti e Reduci (Servicemen and veterans). A large garden was eventually made around the church. Over the last few years a decision was made to establish a permanent museum here to exhibit a series of objects from the wars (weapons, military uniforms and equipment that the servicemen from Urbisaglia brought back with them). The museum reminds the visitor of one of the most dramatic periods in Italian history.
